North Texas Hockey League

To all Associations within NTXHL.

  As we enter into the 2007-2008 season we need to reflect where we were last year at this time. Published documentation was scarce. In the past year we have updated the League Bylaws, published the League and Playoffs rules. Successfully implemented Pointstreak for the playoffs and held our 1^st all Association meeting in June.

  With the New Standard of Enforcement of the Rules, the season started off on a pretty rough hill climb but we all adapted to the new way of play and I want to thank every Player and Coach for working with us and making it a success. We have come a long way.

   Going into 2007-2008 season we are making additional changes to better the League even more. First, we have implemented Pointstreak for the League Season. This will make everyone's life a lot simpler and provide all sorts of information and stats as the season progresses. Secondly, we have moved to a much more user friendly website. I hope that you will find it a lot easier to navigate and that the information is easier to find. We have a lot more control over its content so please get back to us with any suggestions and improvements and finally, we will be going to a 5 minute overtime and shootout format for league play this season. We hope you will enjoy that change.

   As I mentioned last year, communication and patience are the key words for any large organization like NTXHL to run smoothly. We will have close to 160 teams participating from 3 States in the 2007-2008 Season. Please work with us. We want to hear from you.
